She has recently completed The Tattooist and is now preparing for the release of Rain of the Children, Vincent Ward’s new feature film. Sue also manages the release publicity for all films released in New Zealand by 20th Century Fox, which recently included The Simpsons Movie and the highly successful publicity stunt in which Homer & Bart presented a giant pink doughnut to the town of Springfield – a mad idea that made it as far as the LA Times. Her other successful Fox campaigns are Borat, The Devil Wears Prada and Die Hard 4.0.

Her past work includes offshore films Boogeyman, Without a Paddle, Vertical Limit and television productions Xena, Hercules and Hercules the miniseries.

Sue began her career as a production assistant and manager at Pacific Films and worked as a publicist for South Pacific Pictures during Shortland Street’s first two years.

She was the founder (with Graeme Cowley) of Onfilm magazine (in 1983) and initiated The Data Book (in 1988). She has been on the committee for the Academy of Motion Pictures, has been a member of WIFT since almost the beginning and has served on the committee. A member of AFTA, she publicised the NZ Film & TV Awards for several years and has publicised the SPADA conference for the past two years.
