WIFT International, a network of over 10,000 women working in the screen industry around the world.
Robyn graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 1987 and started out in theatre productions. Since 1988 she has worked at many of New Zealand’s top theatres and alongside many accomplished local directors.
New Zealanders got to know Robyn well when she played Nurse Ellen Crozier on Shortland Street for 6 years. Robyn has been a mainstay in NZ television ever since. She has appeared in Serial Killers for which she was the winner of ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ at the New Zealand Screen Awards in 2005, and played the lead in the television feature Clare. She starred as herself as a panelist in How’s Life, as a host on Intrepid Journeys and fronted a TV One documentary Our Lost War: Passchendaele. These days Robyn graces our screens as Cheryl West on Outrageous Fortune, a role for which she has won a NZ telelvision award every season it has screened so far (Air NZ Screen Awards Best Actress 2007, TV Guide Best Actress 2006, Qantas TV Awards Best Actress 2005).
In addition to all her work in television Robyn has been an active actress on the stage and in film, along with in more recent years becoming the proud mother of two under-3-year-old sons.
