Robin has produced a wealth of films since starting out in 1985. She has produced features and shorts, television series, drama and documentary, New Zealand iconic stories and international co-operations. As a producer Robin has worked on films that have been all around the world, including screenings at Venice (The Imploding Self, 1995), the Paris Biennale (A Flip and Two Twisters, 1994) and Cannes (Stroke, 1993); and award winning films including War Stories (Best documentary, NZ Film and TV Awards 1995) and Victory Over Death (Gold Plaque Chicago International Film Festival, 1989).
Robin has worked as line producer, associate producer and executive producer. In addition to her extensive work in the realm of producing, Robin has contributed substantially to the NZ film and tv industry. She has been associated with granting awards to other women and is an applauded mentor of others. During her career she has been a member of the Screen Industry Task Force, a Trustee of New Zealand Film Archive, a member of SPADA Executive, a SPADA representative on Copyright Council and Audio Visual Copyright Society, a New Zealand Film Commission Board member and Consultant Producer for the Short Film Fund. In 1993 she was honoured with an MBE for services to New Zealand film industry.
Robin currently has three scripts in development and is co-producing The Vintner’s Luck, due to shoot in 2008. Robin is also a current Trustee of New Zealand Film and Television School, a Trustee of New Zealand Film Festival and is founding President and Life Member of WIFT (Wgtn).
