The Hamilton Disability Pride Film Festival Steering Group is calling for submissions of short films that celebrate and highlight disability culture and stimulate screen growth within New Zealand. Top short films will be showcased at an event screening on Saturday, November 29, 2008. This event will be the culmination of a three week festival of film, and will be followed by a gala reception.
Criteria:
• Short film
• 7 to 14 minutes in length
• Submitted on DVD or mini DV
• Meet the theme of the festival
Categories:
• Best film
• Technical achievement
• Fiction
• Non-fiction
• Schools (primary to secondary)
Prizes:
To include: a guided tour of Auckland’s Premier studio Facility, Henderson Valley Studios; promotional consideration for online promotion at youtube.co.nz and the guaranteed release of the winning films on DVD; King Kong Bust donated by Weta Workshop, valued at over $400
